Privacy Policy

1. Principle and Purpose of Data Collection

Sideboard (the "Service") does not separately collect or store User personal information. However, in the limited cases below, minimum data may be processed:

  • Privacy-friendly anonymous analytics: To improve the Service, we use Umami Analytics. It records aggregated usage signals without collecting IP addresses or personally identifiable information.
  • Voluntary feedback: Information provided voluntarily by the User for feature suggestions or bug reports.

Purposes of use: Service improvement response, bug confirmation, update notifications, and statistical analysis for usability improvement.

2. Items of Data Processed

A. Anonymous Analytics Data (Umami)

Non-identifying technical and statistical data (e.g., browser type, language, aggregated view counts, and anonymized event counts).

B. Voluntary Feedback Email

Processes the optional email address entered by the User through external forms (e.g., Tally, Google Forms).

C. Payment Information

Payment transactions are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. We do not collect or store your payment details. Please refer to Paddle's Privacy Policy for details on how your payment data is handled.

Important: Memo contents and to-do items are never collected or transmitted. They are stored exclusively on your local device.

3. Analytics Tools and Location of Processing

Umami Analytics — provided by Umami (umami.is). Infrastructure is operated in the European Union (EU), ensuring processing practices that align with GDPR, UK GDPR, and other global privacy standards. Only anonymous statistics are collected — no raw IP addresses.

4. Retention and Use Period

  • Anonymous analytics data:Managed in accordance with Umami Cloud's standard retention policy.
  • Voluntary feedback email: Retained until the inquiry is resolved and destroyed without delay.

5. Local Data Storage and Management

  • All memo and to-do data are stored exclusively in the local storage of the User's device.
  • The Developer does not access or collect any data stored on the User's device.
  • The User bears full responsibility for the security and backup of their own data.

6. Regional Availability

The Service is distributed worldwide via the Microsoft Store. We comply with global data protection standards, including the GDPR (EU), UK GDPR, and relevant privacy laws in each jurisdiction, including the Personal Information Protection Act (Korea).
